This article presents the design and characterization of a dual-band, compact, dual-circularly polarized (CP) traveling wave series-fed circular slit microstrip array (TWSCSMA) antenna operating in quad-band CP at 2.5/3.5/3.8 GHz WiMAX 5.2 WLAN applications. The radiating structure consists an annular ring elements, rotates sequence with seven quasi-lumped resonators contributes to two-impedance bandwidth (IBW) quad bands. four split-ring double-annular rings are introduced on defected ground plane improve impedance matching, IBW, axial ratio (ARBW) effectively. measured results show that proposed dual-CP TWSCSMA yields two S11 ≤ –10 dB IBW 33.85% 50.73% < 3 ARBW 16.26%, 12.52%, 8.22%, 13.82% for port 1.
